WFM Saina Salonika of Odisha bagged the Silver Medal in the National Under 17 Girl’s Chess Championship held at Kochi from 29th June to 7th July 2019. Saina won 5 and drew 6 games in the competition, taking her points tally to 8.
Saina Salonika to represent India in the World Youth Chess Championship With this win Saina is selected to represent India in the World Youth Chess Championship to be held at Romania.
Saina has won 15 international Medals till date. Hailing from Keonjhar district, Saina is now a student of Class XI humanities stream at KIIT International School.
