On the occasion of the 5 th anniversary celebration of ‘Art of Giving’ on Thursday, many people took part in feeding the underprivileged. Art of Giving (AOG) – a philosophy of life to spread the peace and happiness among people in society – was founded five years ago by Prof. Achyuta Samanta, an eminent educationist, social activist, social reformer and founder of KIIT & KISS.
The theme of this year’s celebration was ‘Pyaar Bhara Pack’ – or feeding with love – standing on the premises of ‘People’s Contribution, People’s Participation’. Mass arrangement for feeding the underprivileged by people with a generous heart was the highlight of the event. In Odisha, 35 lakh people were fed at 6,500 centres, covering 4,000 panchayats, all block headquarters, NACs and municipalities. Mass lunches were held in over 300 centres in the city, including eight mega venues.
“Pyaar Bhara Pack” was celebrated by Grade VI and VII at St. Mother Teresa’s home. It was filled with emotions and sentiments on International ‘Art of Giving‘ Day.Mr. Arayansh Sahoo of Grade II distributed books and chocolates to join the celebration. Rishita of Grade III distributed clothes to the kids of the nearby slum. Kritika of Grade VII also joined the league. The tiny tots of Kinder Orland shared meals and played with the specially invited slum children.
The School and students of the school practice the philosophy of Prof. Achyuta Samanta , their Founder in letter and spirit.
