“The story — from Rumplestiltskin to War and Peace — is one of the basic tools invented by the
human mind for the purpose of understanding. There have been great societies that did not use
the wheel, but there have been no societies that did not tell stories.”(Ursula Guin)

KiiT International School Kinderorland teachers had a workshop on storytelling conducted by Ms
Nupur Aggarwal from Storywallahs on the 30th and 31st of October 2019. She guided the
teachers on the importance of storytelling in teaching. Her emphasis was on the three Ps of
effective storytelling, Prepare, Practice and Perform.

"Stories make us more alive, more human, more courageous and more loving." This was the
abiding sentiment of the teacher participants as they emerged with a feeling of empowerment
and satisfaction at the end of the session.
